Thunder Bay resident facing several charges following stabbing

A stabbing in the city has led to several charges.

Officers were sent to Amelia Street just after 2 a.m. on Thursday after receiving reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, officers located a security guard with what appeared to be a stab wound.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled before officers arrived, but they were located and arrested later in the day.

A 33-year-old Thunder Bay resident is facing the following charges:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering Threats
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Breach of probation x4

The accused appeared in court on Thursday and they remain in custody with a future court date.
