A Thunder Bay resident is facing child pornography charges following an investigation by city police.
The Cyber Crime Unit began an investigation in July after receiving a tip about a resident who was suspected of accessing child pornography.
Officers searched a suspect’s home in October and seized multiple electronic devices.
On Wednesday the suspect turned themselves in to police.
As a result, a 55-year-old from Thunder Bay has been charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.
The accused appeared in court and remains in custody with a future court date.
