A Thunder Bay resident is facing child pornography charges following an investigation by city police.
The Cyber Crime Unit began an investigation in August after receiving a tip about a local internet user who was suspected of uploading material consistent with child pornography.
Through the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Walnut Street on Thursday.
During the search, a suspect was located and arrested, and multiple electronic devices were seized for further examination.
As a result, a 54-year-old Thunder Bay resident has been charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.
The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
