Resolute Forest Products mill in Thunder Bay has been identified as one of the safest in the country.
The mill tops Pulp and Paper Canada’s list of Safest Mills in Category B, those with 50 to 80,000 worker hours per month.
There was only one reported incident during the over 907,000 hours worked in 2018.
A Resolute owned mill in Alma, Quebec, was also safest in Category C, mills with under 50,000 workers hours a month.
