Thunder Bay men charged after gas and vehicle theft

Two people face charges after police uncovered the theft of gasoline and a vehicle in Rock Bay First Nation.

According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nipigon detachment, officers were called around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday to a business reporting the theft of gasoline.

Arriving officers soon found the suspect vehicle and discovered it had been stolen from Thunder Bay earlier.

As a result, police have arrested two 41-year-old men, both from Thunder Bay, who now face several charges including possession of a firearm and theft under $5,000.

Both accused were held for a bail hearing and remain in custody as the investigation continues.
