Thunder Bay Man Faces Charges In Conmee Standoff

A 42 year old Thunder Bay man faces several charges following a stand-off in Conmee.

The original call came in at approximately 5:32 p.m. Friday as police were called to a family dispute/assault at a residence on Holland Road.

One person remains in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and is being treated for serious injuries.

The stand-off lasted a little over an hour with OPP negotiators able to bring the individual out of the house peacefully.

The charges against the Thunder Bay man include:

  • Attempt to Commit Murder
  • Mischief Over $5000
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault

The accused will make a bail hearing appearance Tuesday.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
