Thunder Bay launching new Animal Service Taskforce

Thunder Bay is setting up a new group aimed at developing concepts to improve Animal Services.

The Animal Services Taskforce is currently accepting applications from residents looking to get involved.

The group is seen as a short-term arrangement.

Candidates should have a commitment to animal health and experience dealing with animals in the community.

“It’s important that we hear from people who work with animals in Thunder Bay,” says Policy & Research Analyst Kristyn Lovato-Day. “We want to hear from rescue groups, veterinarians, animal welfare workers, and people who have a genuine interest in collaborating for the future of Animal Services in Thunder Bay.”

Animal Services in Thunder Bay is undergoing changes to its operations, and the creation of the taskforce will shape how the service can better help animals.

People who are interested in taking part in the group can submit a statement of interest and resume to Kristyn.lovato-day@thunderbay.ca.

More information on the application process can be found by clicking here.

Applications are being accepted until June 16.
