Thunder Bay hosting election information session for candidates

Residents considering a run for office in Thunder Bay’s municipal or schoolboard elections will have a chance to learn more on Thursday night.

The city will be hosting an information session for potential candidates from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in City Hall’s Council Chambers.

The event will include presentations and the opportunity to ask questions of city staff.

Those wishing to attend in-person will need to register via email at ThunderBayVotes@thunderbay.ca.

The city will also provide a way to view the session online.

Thunder Bay’s election is planned for October 26, 2026.

The nomination period for candidates is May 1 to August 21, 2026.
