The Thunder Bay Border Cats have announced some player signings ahead of the season opener.
The 35-man opening day roster is now complete and includes several returnees from the 2024 team.
The new members of the squad include outfielder Ty Hamilton, pitcher Parker Burgess, pitcher Griffin Catto, middle infielder Greg LaChance, and Catcher Trey Fikes.
All of the players have previous experience with the team.
The Border Cats’ home opener is Wednesday, May 28, at Port Arthur Stadium at 6:35 p.m. against the Rochester Honkers.
Single game tickets, season tickets and flex packs go on sale May 5 at the stadium box office, which is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Border Cats are also still in need of host families.
Players are in Thunder Bay for approximately 30-40 days during the season, and the perks include free tickets, a discount on team merchandise, plus a $250 grocery gift card courtesy of No Frills Supermarkets.
