Three people, including one Greater Toronto Area resident, are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation in northwestern Ontario.
A four-week-long investigation has led to the seizure of the following:
- Two kilograms of suspected cocaine
- 250 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Hundreds of hydromorphone tablets
- A quantity of LSD powder
- Roughly 12 pounds of illegal cannabis
As a result, a 29-year-old from Mississauga has been charged with possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
A 40-year-old from Thunder Bay has also been charged with proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, while a 25-year-old from Thunder Bay was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking opioids.
The accused from Thunder Bay were released with future court dates.
The provincial police did not provide information on where the searches were performed or how many were conducted.
