Thousands of beds, thousands of futures made just a little brighter

This story proves what can happen when people come together with one goal in mind.

Today’s ‘feel good moment ‘ comes from Charlotte, North Carolina.  More than 6,500 volunteers packed the Charlotte convention centre and worked around the clock — literally — to build beds for kids who don’t have one of their own.

One of the world’s largest home improvement retailers – Lowe’s and its employees teamed up with partners like Bank of America, Honeywell, and even the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets……to support the charity “Sleep in Heavenly Peace”. By the end of the 24‑hour push, they turned mountains of raw lumber into over 10,000 brand‑new beds.

One volunteer, Jenna, said she kept thinking about her own kids and how lucky they are to sleep safely every night. And that’s really what this was all about — giving that same comfort to families.

Thousands of beds, thousands of futures made just a little brighter.
