This is National Nurses Week

This week, we’re shining a huge spotlight on the everyday heroes who keep our communities healthy and strong — it’s National Nurses Week.

Across Canada, nearly half a million nurses show up with skill, compassion, and heart, caring for us in hospitals, long‑term care homes, clinics, and right in our neighbourhoods. And here’s the good news — more people than ever are choosing nursing as a career, which is so important for our healthcare system.

This year’s theme:  The Power of Nurses to Transform Health.  This week has been celebrated since the early 70s.  This week marks the birthday of nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale (1820).

IF YOU’RE A NURSE – THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
IF YOU KNOW A NURSE – BE SURE TO THANK THEM FOR ALL THEY DO!
