This February Vying For Coldest Ever

It’s mighty cold in Northwestern Ontario with no letup in site.

Windchills continue to hover in the minus 30 range. Environment Canada spokesperson Peter Kimbell says this February could be shaping up to be the coldest on record noting that in 1936 the mean temperature for the month was minus 19.4, so far this month it’s minus 19.2.

Kimbell says normally near the end of February we see a warming trend, but that doesn’t look like that will happen anytime soon. (Photo supplied)
