Today marks the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. 2,606 people lost their lives when terrorists flew planes into New York City’s Trade Towers; 125 lives when terrorists flew into the Pentagon and all 64 perished on United Airlines Flight 93 when passengers diverted their hijacked plane, which crashed into a Pennsylvania field.
412 emergency workers, including 343 New York City firefighters and paramedics, lost their lives that day
TODAY, nearly 30 million people will volunteer or participate in community service to salute the heroes of 9/11 and recapture the spirit of unity and compassion that inspired our nation following the attacks.
There are so many documentaries about that day. BUT, this particular one is truly remarkable. It follows 2 French-Canadian directors who were in New York to follow a fire hall / and a young recruit. What they didn’t now – was…they captured this particular day…and will forever be remembered. It’s raw, it’s real…and if you haven’t seen it, I suggest you take the time to watch it.
