If your life won’t be complete until you see a “live-action” version of The Lion King, then Hakuna Matata! You’ve got no worries, for the rest of your days! 25 years after the original, there’s a live-action/CGI remake of the Disney animated classic coming our way on July 19th.
I’m getting a little misty just thinking about what’s to come in this movie! There’s an all-star voice cast led by a returning legend. James Earl Jones is back as Mufasa. Donald Glover is voicing Simba, Beyoncé is Nala, and Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen are tagging up as Timon and Pumba. Jon Favreau, who helmed The Jungle Book, is directing. Disney is all about re-vamping their animated hits. Dumbo is in theatres now, and Aladdin hits the big screen in May.
