Tents To Be Set Up At City Hall

Government changes to provincial social programs have hit a nerve with local anti-poverty activists.

Spokesperson Angie Lynch tells us they will be setting up a small tent city in front of Thunder Bay City Hall today to drive home their concerns.

Lynch tells us they will be there from noon until 1pm with their message against Ontario government social program changes.

The anti-poverty activist hopes it will draw your attention to the plight of the poor to show “what the costs of poverty really are” and to “end the abject poverty people are living in right now.”

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
