Temperature Swings Keep January Near Normal

It may surprise you to learn that in spite of some very cold days in January, temperature wise, Thunder Bay was not far from normal.

Environment Canada’s Etienne Gregoire tells us the warmer days helped to even things up.

He says the wild swings in the temperature saw two periods during the month where the high went about the freezing mark resulting in some thawing.

Gregoire indicates, that at 45 centimetres, there was less snow in January than what we normally receive.
