Teddy Bears Picnic moving to Fort William Gardens

An annual free event open to everyone is returning to Thunder Bay.

The Teddy Bears Picnic is returning to Fort William Gardens on Tuesday.

“Teddy Bears Picnic is such a special tradition in Thunder Bay, it’s all about celebrating childhood, imagination, and the simple joy of spending time together,” says Special Event Developer, Karen Kadolph. “There’s something truly heartwarming about seeing kids dancing with their teddy bears, families connecting, and our community coming together for a day filled with smiles and laughter.”

The event will feature various activities, including:

  • Performances on stage
  • Presentation by Science North
  • Teddy Bear Parade
  • First responder display area
  • Community group expo
  • Boo-Boo Bear Station (Teddy bear repair area)
  • Face painting
  • Food vendors

The city is encouraging families to bring their own blankets, chairs, and teddy bears or other stuffed animals.

The event was originally scheduled to take place at Vickers Park, but was relocated due to weather concerns.
