Progress has been made in contract negotiations between the union representing Ontario Catholic teachers and the government.
The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association says its members ratified an agreement on central terms for a contract.
This means more program funding for vulnerable students, better ways to report violence in the classroom, and not requiring students to take part in mandatory on-line learning. The union will continue to challenge the government’s cap on salary increases.
