Most cable companies are required today to offer a $25 basic cable package.
However, Spokesperson Katie Crowe says Tbaytel isn’t required to offer it because they have a small system exemption from the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission.
Crowe adds they will start offering a lighter cable package for a lower price sometime in April as well as pick n’ play channels.
