Tbaytel is spending 2 million dollars to expand it’s fibre optic broadband services to 2-thousand homes in Fort William First Nation, Shuniah, Oliver-Paigoonge and Neebing.
The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation is also providing almost 750-thousand dollars towards the two year project.
President Dan Topatigh says broadband fibre is the best option for their customers.
The work to install the fibre is expected to start sometime this year.
