A scary situation involving a man with a sword charging at people on the north side.
Police say it happened just after 3 am on Sunday on the 700 block of Moore Avenue in the John Street Road area.
They report officers caught up with their suspect around Belrose Road after he sped off from the scene in a pick-up truck.
He surrendered peacefully to police.
A sword was seized from the vehicle.
Police have charged 38-year-old Jason Andrew Prokopchuk with impaired driving and assault with a weapon.
