Suspected Home Takeover On North Side

Two Toronto men have been arrested after a suspected home takeover in the city.

Police were called to a home on Tamarack Place Tuesday afternoon after receiving reports of unwanted people.

They entered to find two people who were refusing to leave despite being unwelcomed.

One of the men was holding a door shut when officers arrived, the second appearing to be destroying evidence in a bathroom.

Further investigation led to police seizing suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, and cash.

Joshua JENKINS, 19, of Toronto, is charged with:• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking• Possession of Crack Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking• Obstruct Peace Officer• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000Malachi Jabari WHYTE, 20, of Toronto, is charged with:• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking• Possession of Crack Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking• Obstruct Peace Officer• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000Both men appeared in bail court Wednesday, and remain in custody with future court dates.
