The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority continues to keep an eye on water levels on Lake Superior.
The LRCA says as of July 2nd, water levels recorded show the lake is 12 centimetres below last year’s record high.
It also states water levels are 24 centimetres above Lake Superior’s beginning of July average, but 49 centimetres lower than the 100-year flood level.
LRCA officials say there continues to be a heightened risk of shoreline flooding, beach submersion and erosion on some reaches of the shoreline.
