Super Heroes

Today is National Super Hero Day and it’s had me thinking about who my ‘Super Heroes’ are. The first one for me is obvious: Green Lantern. He’s been my favourite since I was a kid…his green ring that could make ANYTHING just with force of will, and the fact that he was a pilot as well? It was my dream! Lately though it’s been real life super heroes that have received more attention from me. The people that I know that are making a difference in the world, incredible people doing things that they think are normal but are making a huge change in the world. On air I mentioned a good friend of mine who is an ER Nurse and is really kicking some serious butt in the health field right now. She’s pretty super! There are also the people like my friend Erin who switched gears at the drop of the hat with her organization when Covid-19 hit and is doing her best to make sure that hungry kids get fed. Another friend is tirelessly working behind the scenes in a lot of areas to make sure people don’t go hungry right now, that people who need work are employed and that people who need a little uplifting are getting that as well.

Right now real life super heroes, incredible people doing amazing things, are what we need.

Who are your real life super heroes? Let me know in the comments!
