Sunday: Interntational Women’s Day

Sunday is International Women’s Day, and it’s one of those days that reminds us something important: women’s achievements aren’t rare miracles — they’re what happens when talent, resilience, and opportunity finally line up.

And it’s not just about the big names in history books. It’s about the everyday brilliance we see right here in Thunder Bay… the moms holding families together, the friends who show up when it matters, the colleagues who lift the room, the creators, the leaders, and the quiet changemakers who don’t need a spotlight to make an impact.

One quote that hits me today is this: “When women support women, incredible things stop being miracles and start being normal.” That’s the energy of the day — collective, powerful, and rising.

Because when women rise, whole communities rise with them.

So to the woman listening today: thank you for shaping our world in ways big and small. And to everyone else — a reminder – this Sunday – is International Women’s Day – a great day to celebrate the women who make your life brighter.
