St. Jude Elementary School and Sherbrooke Public School are this year’s School Support Program recipients

St. Jude Elementary and Sherbrooke Public School will each be receiving $2000 towards school supplies from the School Support Program, organized by Staples Business Depot and the Kiwanis Club.

“The generosity from local Thunder Bay people surprises me each year,” says Thunder Bay Staples General Manager Ryan Bayly.

The local Staples store collects donations for the support program at the checkout, and Bayly says 100% of the donation money stays in Thunder Bay. The School Support Program has been running for more than two decades.

Representatives from St. Jude and Sherbrooke both say they will need to decide what supplies to purchase with their donations, based on a combination of what students want and what their schools need.
