South Side Drug Trafficking Suspects Nabbed

Thunder Bay police put four individuals in handcuffs as the investigation into drug trafficking activity continues.

A pair of women from Thunder Bay were picked up after police conducted the raid at the Maplewood Street South home at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The police obtained cocaine, $30,000 cash, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, firearm ammunition, a loaded handgun and a high-capacity magazine.

The estimated potential street value of the cocaine seized totals nearly $145,000.

The charges against the Thunder Bay women include:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device
  • Prohibited or Restricted Weapon with Ammunition
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of Firearm/ Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

All the individuals in the case have future appearance dates.
