It’s a big fundraising weekend for one local charity.
The George Jeffery Children’s Foundation is holding its 11th annual soap box derby at Waverley Park.
Races start tonight and they’ll go all day Saturday as well.
Over 25 kids will be racing soap box cars this weekend according to Executive Director Mary Anne Comuzzi.
Comuzzi says the box cars will be speeding down Waverly Street hill at speeds over 50 km/h.
The money raised goes to pay for programs at the Children’s Treatment Centre.
