Snow & Cold Highlight November Weather

It was a November to remember for how cold it was in Thunder Bay and the amount of snow we received.

Sherry Williams of Environment Canada says precipitation numbers show there was much more snow than rain.

She says there was only .4 millimetres of rain well below the average of 31.5 millimetres. However, there was 32.2 centimetres of snow compared to the average of 27.8 centimetres.

Williams tells us the average combined night and day temperature in November was over a degree cooler than normal at -4.4 when the average is -3.0

The meteorologist adds the lowest the temperature got was the night of November the 11th when it hit minus 19, and the highest was on November 4th when it was plus 5.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
