Smoky Conditions Return For Another Day

A special air quality statement has once again been issued for the Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Ear Falls areas.

Smoke plumes from forest fires in northwestern Ontario and eastern Manitoba will continue, resulting in poor air quality and low visibility.

Other communities across the region, including the Thunder Bay area, may be impacted as well.

Individuals may experience symptoms such as increased coughing, throat irritation, headaches or shortness of breath.

Children, seniors, and those with cardiovascular or lung disease, such as asthma, are especially at risk.
