The province’s Special Investigations Unit confirms it is investigating after Dryden Police Service officers fire their guns at a man in a vehicle.
The SIU invoked its mandate after it says Dryden Police were called to a disturbance at a home on Highway 17 just before 9:30 Thursday night.
When they arrived, a man got into a vehicle and drove into a police cruiser, and police fired at him.
The SIU has assigned three investigators and two forensic investigators to this case.
