Shuniah is taking steps to protect citizens from COVID-19.
They have closed the municipal office and MacGregor Recreation Centre.
Shuniah’s landfill is still open, however, they ask you forgo reporting to the site attendant and proceed directly to the area for garbage disposal.
Officials are also asking you to not loiter or scavenge at the dump.
