There’s a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for Upsala, Shebandowan, Kakabeka Falls, Whitefish and Arrow Lakes.
It’s also in effect for areas west to Atikokan, Vermillion Bay, Fort Frances and Rainy River.
Environment Canada’s Gerald Cheng tells us the storm system is moving east from Kenora where there has already been thunderstorm activity.
The meteorologist feels the storm system is moving slowly and may weaken as it heads towards the Thunder Bay area.
