The City of Thunder Bay says that a section of Onion Lake Road will be closed to allow for the replacement of the culvert.
The closure will take place at the intersection of Onion Lake Road and Lancaster Avenue.
Work will begin tomorrow but no timeline for completion has been given.
During this time, Onion Lake Road will be open to local traffic only from Wardrope Avenue to 375 Onion Lake Road.
A posted detour route will be in effect at Belton Street.
Motorists are asked to follow the signage and to allow extra time for travel.
