A Thunder Bay MP is offering a glimmer of hope for a possible event centre for the city now that his government has rejected funding the proposal. It was turned down because it didn’t fit the criteria for Build Canada or Gas Tax funding.
However, Don Rusnak says he’s come up with an alternative. It’s the possibility of private sector funding for the facility.
Rusnak says he’s willing to sit down with the city to discuss other ideas or partnerships for a project of this scope.
