With a freezing rain warning in effect and five centimetres of snow and ice expected today, all city and rural school buses have been cancelled today and Lakehead Public Rural Schools are closed. The schools closed include Crestview, Five Mile, Nor’wester View, Gorham & Ware, McKenzie, Kakabeka Falls, Valley Central and Whitefish Valley. The Thunder Bay Christian School is also closed. All city schools are open, however there will be no bus service.
Thunder Bay Transit service is returning to normal after buses were pulled from the roads this morning due to poor driving conditions. Passengers can expect some delays.
