One of Thunder Bay’s biggest cancer fundraisers is coming back next month.
Canadian Cancer Society spokesperson Maria Cabral tells us they are moved by the number of dedicated people who take part in the CIBC Run For the Cure each year.
She notes last year over 600 people took part which really speaks to how many in our community have been touched by the disease.
The breast cancer fundraiser is taking place October 6th at the legion track at Fort William Stadium.
Money raised will go towards research as well as a number of local breast cancer programs available in Thunder Bay and the region.
This year’s fundraising goal is $60,000.
