Police Looking For Robbery Suspect

A robbery suspect is being sought by Thunder Bay police and they would like your help to find him.

They tell us it was Saturday, May 30th, at around 10:20 in the morning, when a customer was taking money from the ATM at the Copperfin Credit Union on Algoma Street. Once the machine let the money out, the customer was pushed by one of two men, both who police say then ran off with the money.

One of them was later caught and charged, but police are still looking for the other one.

Police say he’s Indigenous, about 20-to-30 years old. He wore blue jeans, khaki boots, a black shirt, black baseball cap and sunglasses at the time of the incident.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
