Woodcrest Road residents say they shouldn’t have to pay for local improvements they don’t need.
Property owners told council last night that the city should pay for a sidewalk in the area, as other proposed road work, like curb and gutter, is unnecessary and on their dime.
The projects come at a cost of over 600 dollars per metre of frontage, something long time resident Eleanor Watts says she shouldn’t be expected to fork over.
A report on the entire project is expected back to council in August and May, respectively. (File photo)
