The statistics are in for viewership and what it costs to run a regular ward or virtual town hall meeting.
In a report that was on the agenda for council last night, Clerk Krista Power says in eight meetings between September 2020 and January 2021 there were 555 views through TBayTel OnDemand and 320 unique views on the city’s website.
When it comes to questions for the meetings, the clerk’s office says members of Council have received and provided responses to more than 150 questions.
The financial implications for a virtual ward or town hall meeting were projected at $400/meeting, which includes technical support, advertising but does not include
indirect administrative costs.
The total cost to put on seven virtual ward and town hall meetings in 2020 was $1,150.
