Red Rock man charged after following two youths

The Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a man after a concerning incident involving two youths in Red Rock.

On September 12, police received a report of a suspicious vehicle following the youths.

Officers located them safely and transported them home. A suspect was later identified, arrested, and found to be in breach of a probation order.

A 34-year-old man fromm Red Rock, has been charged with two counts of criminal harassment for repeatedly following the youths, along with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failure to comply with both a probation and a release order, and possession of a Schedule I substance.

He was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay at a later date.
