Record Temperatures This Fall

Warm but wet.

That kind of sums up the weather over the past week.

But it’s not your typical end to fall according to senior climatologist at Environment Canada, David Phillips.

“Over the next couple of days the temperatures are going to be four or five degrees warmer than normal,” states Phillips.

“But what’s sort of interesting if you combine October with September it’s a record. Never in the northwest part of Ontario have we ever had a warmer fall so far.”

The normal high for this time of year is 4.8 Celsius.

Over the next couple of days, our high will be also twice that at 9 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to cool down to below normal levels starting on Sunday.
