RCMP Warn Of Amazon Scam

The RCMP are reminding shoppers to stay vigilant this holiday season.

According to authorities, an online scam has been making the rounds trying to access your Amazon shopping information.

The scammers will send you an e-mail appearing to look official with an order that you didn’t make, and when you click on “Order Details,” it asks for your login information.

Authorities say if you type in the information, scammers have access to your credit card information and other personal information.

The RCMP is reminding you that if you get a suspicious e-mail, to look at the URL to see if it’s legitimate and then report the e-mail to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
