There are no northwestern Ontario communities on the list of those hosting pre-budget consultations for the federal budget.
Thunder Bay-MP John Rafferty says it appears the government isn’t interested in what’s happening in northern Ontario, especially on an important issue like the proposed Ring of Fire mining development.
He hopes that because Sudbury is on the list, that we’ll hear people talk about such initiatives that the government must decide to commit to. Winnipeg is the closest city that people from Northwestern Ontario can travel to in order to make a presentation. (File Photo)
