Radbourne To Seek Liberal Nomination

A former Green Party candidate in Thunder Bay is switching to Liberal red.

Christy Radbourne has announced her intention to seek the Liberal nomination for the Thunder Bay-Rainy River riding so she can run in the upcoming federal election.

In a Facebook posting Radbourne says she wants the opportunity to serve the community in a broader fashion and support a platform that she believes “will help move our community and Canada forward.”

Shelby Ch’ng is currently the only other person who has announced an intention to seek the party nomination in that riding to replace current Liberal MP Don Rusnak who is leaving politics to spend more time with his family.

No date has been set for the nomination meeting.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
