Province Promises Money To Expand Bike Lanes

The wheels are turning at City Hall as Transporation Coordinator Adam Krupper ponders how to spend some future government money.

The province is promising municipalities $10 million to go towards expanding existing bicycle trails or launch their own pilot projects.

Krupper says he’ll be looking to improve safety, noting he’d like to see barriers built on some roads to separate cyclists from motorists.

He adds they’d also like to create better connections between the road and off road trail network. (File photo)
