Shipments through Keefer Terminal were about 30 percent higher than in the 2015 shipping season.
That’s from Port Authority CEO Tim Heney, who says 30,000 metric tons passed through Keefer this season.
Heney estimates the Port of Thunder Bay saw a total of 8.8 million metric tons shipped, just below 2015’s volumes.
Heney adds the Port will get a new multi-purpose heated building next year, with work hopefully starting in the fall. (File photo)
