Police Mark Missing Person Awareness Day

Removing barriers to reporting a missing person is the goal of Missing Person Awareness Day.

OPP Sergeant Shelly Tuck tells us there are still a number of barriers preventing people from reporting their friends and loved ones as missing.

“Having these days gives us an opportunity to share information, remove some of those barriers, raise a general awareness about what we do, and how people can report someone who is missing.”

An all day education session with the OPP and the Anishinabek Police Service is taking place today at Dilico Anishinabek Family Care.
