Police services board seeking members for governance committee

The Thunder Bay Police Service’s board is looking for a couple of community members to serve on its governance committee.

Two positions are open after the terms of two former board members expired.

The Governance Committee’s mandate includes:

  • Meeting procedural by-laws, meeting processes and practices
  • Policy review and development
  • Recruitment of Board members
  • Development and education of Board members
  • Recruitment of the Chief of Police and the Deputy Chief
  • Recruitment of administrative officers of the Board

Thunder Bay and Oliver Paipoonge residents who want to apply are asked to submit their resume detailing all relevant policy, governance or other related experience to the Board Secretary, John Hannam, by email at psbsecreary@hotmail.com by November 20.
